Many firearms are prohibited from entering into Canada. We suggest you contact Canada Customs for more information about importing firearms before your departure.

The following regulations apply to the importation of all firearms into Canada:

You must be 18 years of age or older to import a firearm.

You cannot import prohibited firearms or any prohibited weapons or devices into Canada. Please note: Mace or pepper spray is considered a weapon in Canada and is strictly prohibited from entering into the country.

All firearms must be declared and registered before entering into Canada. The importation of restricted firearms such as pistols or revolvers may be granted, provided visitors obtain an Authorization to Transport before entering the country from a chief firearms officer.
