Come and explore one of Niagara ‘s hidden treasures, scenic Dufferin Islands , where you can experience the sheer beauty of this 10 acre nature preserve located above the Falls. Take a leisurely stroll on one of the many winding nature trails set amongst the eleven small islands and observe the many water fowl that inhabit this scenic area. The Islands offer visitors many picturesque picnic spots that are surrounded by gently cascading waterfalls that fall into reflecting pools. During the Winter Festival of Lights the Islands are aglow with many popular animated lighting displays that are presented from mid November to mid January.
