Located in the heart of picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Angie Strauss Art Gallery is one of the largest and most popular galleries in the area. The gallery features the work of renowned Canadian Impressionist artist Angie Strauss, who is well-known for her beautiful artwork, which portrays local scenes, vineyards, florals, and landscapes. This intimate gallery is housed in a beautiful historical home in Niagara-on-the-Lake and features the works of renowned Canadian artist Chantal Poulin. Poulin, who has won the award for Canadian artist of the year twice, has an incredible range in her work. Her beautiful works of art feature everything from portraits of children to landscapes, to still life and contemporary art. The Pumphouse Visual Art Centre is located in a restored 1891 water pumping station on the shores of the Niagara River and offers exhibitions by contemporary visual artists working in a number mediums. The centre showcases a variety of visual art forms, from raku pottery and relief sculptures to etching, photography and paintings. The centre also offers classes, workshops, lectures and exhibitions in a wide range of mediums throughout the year.

The Riverbrink- Samuel E. Weir Gallery houses an eclectic collection and library of unique Canadian and international historical fine art. Specializing in works that capture the history of the Niagara Region, the gallery features portraits of the area’s founders, as well as Canadian paintings, old Quebec silver, Indian artifacts, War of 1812 pieces, and French Impressionist works. Of particular interest is the impressive collection of works by the famed Canadian artists The Group of Seven and Tom Thompson, who were the first artists that depicted the beauty of Northern Canada in their art. The Gallery was built to showcase the extensive collection of barrister Samuel E. Weir, who began collecting works of art in his twenties. The gallery overlooks the battlegrounds of the War of 1812, and offers impressive views of the Niagara River.
